Questions for Further Reflection and Study

1) What is the church?
2) What makes a church a church?
3) What is God's purpose for the church?
4) What is the responsibility of the elders and leadership of the church to/for you?
5) We would define the local church as a group of people called together in Christ-centered fellowship for the purpose of Jesus in a specific community. With that mind, prayerfully reflect and record your thoughts on the following statements:
- We are a priesthood of believers.
- We are all pastors to one another. The entire body of Christ is responsible for shepherding one another.
- Everyone is gifted in different ways.
- Everyone is responsible for using their gifts for building up (equipping) those in the church and for reaching the world with the message of Jesus.
6) Is it possible to talk about the church without talking about yourself? (if you are a Christ-follower)
