We will not be gathering as one large church body for the next 8 weeks. Click HERE for how we are responding to COVID-19 and our future plans.

Churchwide Update- 3.26.20

Good Afternoon Family and Friends,

We give thanks to God always for all of you, constantly mentioning you in our prayers, remembering before our God and Father your work of faith and labor of love and steadfastness of hope in our Lord Jesus Christ (1 Thessalonians 1:2-3). Paul’s greeting to the church in Thessaloniki resonates the gratefulness and prayers we are saying today for our community.

How we are gathering

In this season where the way we gather, care for each other, and respond to needs around us, our Transformation Groups are functioning as House Churches.  It is our hope and desire that everyone of you are connected to a House Church.

If you are in a House Church:

  • Prioritize your time together as your house church leaders communicate.
  • Pursue building relationships and caring for those that are in your house church with you.

If you are not in a House Church, find one HERE and conact the a leader to start getting connected. If you need help doing so, email connect@thebridgemontrose.org

We have also moved our Sunday Worship and Prayer Zoom Gatherings to 10am Sunday morning. The link can be found HERE, and the meeting ID is 707 713 412if you’re asked for it.

  • Our prayer is that this time of worship and prayer along with your house church gatherings (virtual for now) will keep you experiencing the gift God gives us in Gospel community.

Ministry Needs & Stewardship

We are also starting to see the signs of the major financial impact that this crisis will have. We trust God as our provider and that He has given us the responsibility to steward our finances and each other. We want to call each other to pray for and continue to step into:

  • Giving Joyfully and Sacrificially. Continue your tithing and prayerfully consider if you are able to take another step of sacrifice in what you give. Questions to consider:

    • If you are not giving, will you give something?

    • If you are giving sometimes, can you make it a recurring gift?

    • If you have been giving regularly, will you consider if this is a time to give more?

On a practical note:

  • We want to ask everyone to give electronically (link) as it makes our collection easier and allows us to observe social distancing.
  • Scheduling your giving as a recurring gift allows us to make more informed decisions in our ministry opportunities in a time of rapid and constant change.
  • If you are in need (health or financial), please reach out to The Bridge Montrose through your House Church Leaders or the elders (emails below). If we know anything, God has wired our community to step in and care for each other in extravagant ways.

Paul continues in the his letter to the church in Thessaloniki- So, being affectionately desirous of you, we were ready to share with you not only the gospel of God but also our own selves, because you had become very dear to us. (1 Thessalonians 2:8). My this be all of our desires as well. We are better together for the glory of God.
