Advent 2017 - Repentance - Romans 13: 11-14

Preacher: Heath Haynes Series: Advent 2017 Scripture: Romans 13:11–14

We continue in the Advent Season this week reflecting on the natural response of Repentance as a part of our salvation in Christa as well as our transformed lives being lived out in Him and to Him.

Sermon Text: Romans 13:11-14

Other Scripture References: John 8:12, Ephesians 5:13-14, Revelations 11:15

Questions for Further Study and Reflection:

  • When you think of repentance, do you think of guilt or deliverance? Why?
  • If repentance is an acknowledgement of our sin against God, how is it that it can be a reason for joy and gratefulness?
  • What is your understanding of why we focus on repentance as part of our Advent season?
  • Are the any sins you need to repent of today so that you could truly experience the joy of what we celebrate at Christmas?
